Under Construction

Please excuse the mess, as I'm just (and continually) building this page.

I moved from Aurora,CO,to Anchorage, AK, so am still in the 'getting settled in' mode.

I'm able to enjoy a lot of the same things I enjoyed in Colorado - scuba diving, hiking, biking - and add a new sport to the list: sea kayaking.   There are incredible places to kayak around Alaska.

I was born and raised in Southern California, but moved to Colorado some number of years ago before moving to Alaska.    While in Colorado, the one thing I missed about Southern California was the ocean.    So, to try to make up for that, a sailing buddy and I would put together annual bareboat sailboat charter trips.
We almost always charter our boats from The Moorings. We normally do 10-day charters, and usually take one of the 45' monohulls (a Moorings 445 or Moorings 463, both boats custom-built for The Moorings by Beneteau).   These are just awesome boats.

Check 'em out - The Moorings bill themselves as "The Best Sailing Vacations In The World", and in my opinion, they have certainly earned the title.
We have been to the British Virgin Islands a number of times, San Diego once, and New Zealand twice (so far).   On the last New Zealand trip (March 2001), we decided on the 38' catamaran, just for a change.

I'm going to be adding logs from our various trips, plus a few of the more decent pictures - I actually did get some good ones - as I build the page.   Including photos taken while we were sitting out Hurricane Lenny in the British Virgin Islands in November, 1999.

Anyway, thanks for your patience as I'm putting this thing together.
